Blind Man Smells 'Scent of a Woman'

Blind Man Smells 'Scent of a Woman'

Weekend subway encounters usually amuse.

Most recently, a blind man and his gorgeous companion engaged in entertaining 6 train movie conversation. They were strangers who connected at a local bar where the man sings. Although she barely knew him, the petite blonde dressed in super high heels and a tight short dress accompanied the incredibly tall man home. Call it a cliche, but they started referencing Scent of a Woman and how he felt about his new companion.

"I can tell you're beautiful just by your smell," the blind man said, "It's very 'Scent of a Woman.'"

Who knows how that night ended. Upon their subway car departure, one could still sense love in the air.

Also set in New York, Scent of a Woman illustrates the unique relationship between prep school student Charlie Simms (Chris O'Donnell, Batman Forever) and blind veteran Lt. Col. Frank Slade, whom Simms looks after.

"Say 'hello' to the potluck party from New York City," Slade says.
