In Kobak's Long Island home reference movie theater, the boisterous family man watched many movies daily and wrote Films on Disc reviews shortly thereafter. The film critic required utmost silence from spectators during screenings. Sound effects interestingly created home vibrations that felt like theatrical tremors. These sensations are sorely missed.

In addition to writing engaging reviews, Stu produced various feature stories from The Shawshank Redemption Director Frank Darabont's one-on-one interview to discussing Akira Kurosawa's admirable body of filmic work.
